Well, I am not dead yet haha so thats a plus haha
The 'runs' in the second week of couch to 5K have consisted of spurts of running and walking with 90seconds of running followed by 2mins of walking which in my case is more 90seconds of whatever you call what I do followed by 2minutes of swearing, sweating and battling gravity to stay up right, this most recent 'run' my suspicions about my running style were confirmed when some people I ran past started laughing at me but obviously not for long as I flew past them showing off my fine form. I will share I was skeptical of my will power to continue with this as lets face it haha I didn't want to do it but as I sit here sweating my ass off after completing my 6th run in 2 weeks Im feeling pretty damn good. I have also been doing 3 PT sessions a week with an amazing trainer completely focused around strength training as my knees and other insides resemble that of a 90 year old women haha.
The point of these blogs I suppose is hopefully to get you guys to lace those trainers up and come running with me, tell me how you go haha especially if you're like myself and are in no way a runner at all.
I want to make it clear to you, my awesome readers, I am not doing this in anyway to loose weight or for physically appearance, Im training myself because I want to be fitter, I want to be stronger, I want to be healthy and happy. It probably all sounds like a bunch of crap haha and I'll be the first one to say I'm shocked with the change in my breathing and health after only 2 short weeks.
I guess Oprah was right , the hardest part about going for a run really is putting your shoes on.
